We went to a baby shower in New Jersey this past weekend and stayed at the Hampton Inn there. Because it has a pool. We belong to a pool, but in the same way that kids like to see what everyone else's bathrooms look like, they also like to try out every pool they see. Our room just happened to overlook the pool, so here they are waving to me...
...before jumping into the water.

Then we got ready for the shower. Here are the girls just before we got in the car. Their hair was NOT easy to braid since it was wet, but you know, I managed:

I managed to braid my own hair, too. See how grey it is? I am going to color it sometime in August I think. More and more people are wondering if the girls are having a good time with Grandma when we're out and about:

The best part of the shower for Hannah and Liz was getting to spend time with their cousins (the girl in the center of the picture is not a cousin):

Rob and I always love spending time in Clinton. Here's the mill in the town center. Somewhere in a pile of pictures I have a similar shot with Rob holding the girls with the mill in the background. They were probably about 9 months old at the time. After walking around the downtown area we went to a park and looked at the scenic view that wasn't scenic enough for me to take pictures, then we stopped at Yocco's and Dunkin' Donuts on the way home:

The weekend fun continued at Terry's house. We went over to check things out since they were away, and also to swim in her pool. Which is also NOT the pool we joined. Here the girls are enjoying their McDonald's Happy Meals, poolside:
And here they are after waiting an hour to go in the pool (not). You'll notice that they don't always have to wear their floaties on their arms as they can swim a little:

Lizzie is getting better and better at swimming, but actually prefers to swim underwater, so she wears goggles. Hannah is also a decent swimmer but in her mind she's better than she really is, so I had to grab her out of the pool this time as she started to go under when she realized the water was over her head and she really CAN'T swim that well. I was too busy saving her to take a picture, but here's Lizzie:
We also took some time to pick some peaches. Terry's peaches were very ripe and ready for picking and they were just too busy cruising the Mediterranean to do it, so we took 'em. We made some freezer jam the next day (stay tuned for a video about that experience) and will put a couple of the jars in Terry's freezer so she can enjoy the peaches, too. They were REALLLLLLY sweet and good:
